Journeys That Shape a Summer

Our journeys continue as we visit each of our camps and engage in deep, meaningful conversations about the Jewish journeys our campers and staff embark on each Ramah summer. There is so much I wish we could convey in these short updates—the blessings of quiet walks and shared meals; coaching a staff member as they practice a d’var Torah, observing camper interactions, and having campers and staff remind me of conversations we shared years ago. I feel incredibly blessed to do this work.

The Power of Presence

All of our camps have now reached the second half of their seasons—with it, the sweet satisfaction of all that has been accomplished and the fervent desire to take advantage of every minute of every day. I’ve visited 14 of our camps (so far) and this past week, I had the opportunity to spend time at our Philadelphia and Los Angeles day camps, Ramah Galim in Northern California and Ramah California in Ojai.
