Administrative and Marketing Coordinator

The National Ramah Commission is the convening, catalyzing, and coordinating body of the Ramah Camping Movement, supporting our camps and Israel programs; providing opportunities for leadership development, offering year-round alumni engagement; and strengthening connections with Am Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael. The National Ramah Commission operates under the educational and religious supervision of The Jewish Theological Seminary.

We are seeking a full-time Administrative and Marketing Coordinator to support the year-round team with various administrative tasks, as well as to provide assistance with marketing and communications.

  • This is a hybrid position with 2–3 days in person at the National Ramah office in New York City.

  • Salary range: $45,000-$52,000

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Strong written and oral communication skills required

  • 2–3 years professional experience desirable

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and demonstrated ability to complete work with meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking direction and instruction from multiple people

  • Proficiency with Google/Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel, required

  • Proficiency with social media platforms required, and tools such as Canva, Constant Contact, and JotForm desirable

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Receive, distribute and scan mail

  • Maintain calendars of professional and lay events and meetings, schedule internal and external meetings, and set up Zoom calls

  • Manage registrations and coordinate logistics for onsite and offsite meetings and conferences

  • Track reimbursements for programs, travel, and events

  • Coordinate with building facilities and security administrators

  • Ensure office and kitchen supplies are ordered in a timely manner and maintain supply cabinet

  • Process visa applications for foreign summer staff members

  • Work on correspondence for CEO, primarily but not exclusively with NRC officers and camp presidents

  • Follow up on NRC board member requests

  • Take minutes at board meetings (may require some weekends and evenings)

  • Assist professional staff with travel arrangements

  • Gather material for monthly email from NRC professional staff

  • Assist creative manager with design of graphics for use in social media

  • Maintain contact lists for Ramah year-round professionals and Conservative/Masorti movement leaders

  • Create basic Constant Contact emails and assist with proofreading, testing links, and organizing folders within the Constant Contact platform

  • Organize photo and document archives
