U. Penn Ramahniks Receive Prestigious Fellowships

May 2003

A report is now in from the University of Pennsylvania's commencement ceremonies: Five graduating seniors who received grants to study and travel abroad are Ramahniks.  Adam Zimbler, a Wisconsin alum, was awarded a Marshall scholarship.  In addition, four of the seven recipients of Fulbright grants awarded to graduating Pennsylvania students are Ramahniks!  The Fulbright program provides opportunities for international experience, personal enrichment and an open exchange of ideas with citizens of other nations.  The four Fulbright scholars are:

Rachel Fleischer (Wisconsin alum) -- going to South Korea
Jonah Lowenfeld (Berkshires alum) -- going to England
Marjorie Rosenfelt (Palmer alum) -- going to France.
Avshalom (Avi) Rubin (Wisconsin alum) -- going to Israel

Mazel tov to all five of the recipients on receiving these well-deserved honors!
