to
National Ramah Commission to Develop New Gaming App
January 2012
The Covenant Foundation has awarded a $59,000 Signature grant to the National Ramah Commission to design and develop Ramah365, a mobile networking and gaming app that will encourage staff, young adult alumni, and campers from the Ramah Camping Movement to participate in a wide variety of Ramah programs throughout the year. The Ramah365 initiative is designed to engage and bring together Ramahniks in exciting and dynamic Ramah events, Shabbat and holiday celebrations, social action opportunities, and Israel programming. Ramah365 will first be piloted at Ramah Nyack.
According to Harlene Winnick Appleman, Executive Director of the Covenant Foundation, grant recipients are recognized as having "ideas and approaches of great promise for success, effect and adaptation elsewhere. They are change makers in Jewish education." The National Ramah Commission is proud to be one of these change makers and thanks the Covenant Foundation for their generous support.
