What’s Happening at Ramah
Keeping Up With the Klein
by Michael Elkin
(Excerpts from an article that first appeared in the Jewish Exponent)
....Robert Klein, comedian and actor, who scored years back on Broadway in Neil Simon's musical "They're Playing Our Song," brings his act to Elkins Park on Sunday, May 21....
And what will they see? Klein cavorting on stage and serving in the role he's honed over decades - raconteur extraordinaire, regaling audiences with tales of life as a performer and even as a schoolteacher - which he once was.
The acclaimed star - also a staple on TV talk shows and onetime host of his own cable series - is performing in a benefit, which kicks off at 7 p.m., for the Golden Kippah Youth Campaign of the Middle Atlantic Region's Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs.
This 25th-anniversary concert is in support of the kids at Camp Ramah in the Poconos.
As part of the evening, past event honorees will be saluted once more for all their efforts over the years.
So, here ya go, "Sceners": a great concert for a great cause...
