The AVI CHAI Foundation Awards Grant to Ramah to Support Hebrew Language Education

With generous funding from The AVI CHAI Foundation, the National Ramah Commission (NRC) will embark on a bold new initiative to strengthen Hebrew language education and usage at Ramah camps. The AVI CHAI grant, together with an ongoing investment of resources from Ramah camps and donors, will help support NRC’s efforts over the next four years to create new year-round and summer staff training programs. These programs will be designed to raise the level of staff Hebrew abilities, as well as to motivate staff to increase Hebrew usage at camp. In addition, the NRC will commission the creation of new curricular units for both formal and informal educational settings at Ramah camps.
