Camp Ramah in Canada
(opened in 1960)

Camp Ramah in Canada is located in the beautiful Muskoka Region of Ontario, two hours north of Toronto. Camp Ramah offers a full program of summer camp recreation within the context of a warm, observant Jewish community.

On beautiful Skeleton Lake, basic and advanced instruction is offered in canoeing, kayaking, sailing, swimming, water skiing and windsurfing. Athletics programs include aerobics, baseball, basketball, gymnastics, hockey, soccer, tennis and volleyball. In addition, a wide  range of arts activities are offered, including batik, calligraphy, ceramics, cooking, dance, fabric arts, music, photography, theatre arts and woodworking. The outdoors program takes full advantage of the camp’s beautiful setting while raising the campers’ environmental awareness, appreciation of nature, and camping and scouting skills.

Camp Ramah in Canada offers a Tikvah Program for Jewish adolescents with learning disabilities, emotional disorders, mild mental retardation, and other developmental disabilities. The Tikvah campers are included in all the programs at Camp Ramah and are also involved in special educational training.
